About the Role

 

The Global Learning & Development Director is responsible for designing and maintaining an effective strategy, framework and resources for talent development activities globally as well as providing expert support to the HR colleagues and senior leaders. In this dynamic and purposeful role, the incumbent will be working with individual contributors, managers, leaders and teams globally to support the drive for our business growth. This is a highly visible role which will work directly with Business and HR leaders on competency needs and development progress to ensure success.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Define Talent Development strategy with leading practice approaches, making full use of our organization's “learning mindset” and our unique Schloss Marbach learning Academy, ensuring alignment with talent review outcomes
  • Accountable for the design, execution and facilitation of flagship learning programs and initiatives targeted towards leaders, people managers, individual contributors and teams, and continuous action to improve their skill sets and effectiveness
  • Lead and manage a team of global learning operations & regional Talent Development experts to Integrate functional, regional and global learning needs as well as aligning strategy, priorities and budget
  • Together with the Procurement team, select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and training providers to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service at competitive prices
  • Prepare and present significant progress, recommendations and strategies to ExCo / LTs on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with content owners and subject matter experts in the development and implementation of learning activities
  • Keep up-to-date on developments and innovations on L&D topics so that the organization’s development activities remain current and relevant

 

About You

 

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, HR Management or similar
  • 15+ years of relevant working experience in Human Resources in an international environment, with significant expertise gained in a CoE Talent Development environment in a regional or global capacity
  • Experience in designing, facilitating and delivering scalable training programs across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing progressive talent development strategies in a matrix organization at global / group / regional  level
  • Ability to articulate program objectives, activities and policies by aligning HR and COE strategic goals and vision to business needs
  • Sound stakeholder management, being able to influence & drive results beyond formal reporting lines
  • Ability to navigate complexity and change in a digital world, and adopt new approaches to strategic management and decision making
  • Strong knowledge of Google platforms
  • Proven capability of reporting and presenting significant recommendations and strategies to ExCo / LTs.
  • Self-starter, work with a high degree of independence, seeking support appropriately
  • Open, hands on mentality whilst keeping a keen eye on the strategic agenda
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)
