About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit our VP Global Talent, responsible for the overarching integrated talent strategy encompassing acquisition strategy and execution, the continuous improvement of the organization’s talent development and succession planning strategies and the global learning strategy and offering. It aims to ensure that we have the right people, with the right skills, performing at their best, with the right development and growth opportunities, allowing our agile workforce to meet the organization’s current and future needs. Key Responsibilities include
Talent Acquisition
Crafting and further developing our groups talent sourcing strategy from entry-level to executive level positions with focus on both immediate & long term (strategic) needs of the business (Future skills / Succession planning etc)
Proactively identifying and addressing hiring needs in order to attract and develop a skilled and diverse workforce
Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting and continuously seeking to optimize and digitize
Explore and further expand the use of relevant digital technologies (in close collaborations with the Head of Operations & HRIS)
Translate the company’s EVP into concrete employer branding activities
Accountable for a designing and embedding inclusive recruitment practices to foster a diverse workforce
Manage the team of recruiters and ensure global alignment with the regional Heads of TA
Talent Management
Further build and direct the organization’s talent development strategy and activities, ensuring that activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the organization’s strategy, policies and standards
Analyze and identify the succession planning and development needs of the organization and its employees and develop an overall plan to meet the current and planned human resource requirements of the organization
Partnering with functional or regional leaders to develop and implement development and succession plans to secure a diverse talent pipeline and bench strength of the relevant business area
Use of employee engagement metrics, like retention and turnover rates - support the function to draw the right conclusions and actions based on these metrics
Thorough knowledge of labor legislation, risk of permanent establishment and other relevant laws and regulations
Create leadership awareness and ownership of talent and drive diversity in Barry Callebaut
Inspire and develop a team of talent development professionals and HRBP’s to ensure that the organization’s talent development strategy is implemented effectively
Talent Development
Further refine Talent Development strategy with leading practice approaches, making full use of our organization's “learning mindset” and our unique Schloss Marbach learning Academy. Translating this into clear execution plans, engaging leadership sponsorship, and success metrics for the team
Accountable for designing and evaluating Leadership Development Framework and curricula so that the know-how, skills, leadership capabilities and performance of employees meet the organization’s current and future requirements
Facilitate senior leaders' development dialogue and address needs
Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and training providers to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service at competitive prices
Keep up-to-date on developments and innovations on L&D topics so that the organization’s development activities remain current and relevant
About You
Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Psychology, HR Management or similar
15+ years of relevant working experience in Talent in an international company
Learning and Talent related certification(s) or qualifications preferred (e.g. Hogan, Korn Ferry etc)
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing progressive talent strategies in a matrix organization at global / group level
Hands-on implementation mentality
Proven track record in leveraging technology and data to support and inform decisions, also familiar with SuccessFactors operating modules (Recruiting, Succession, Learning)
Thorough knowledge of labor legislation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Open, hands on mentality whilst keeping a keen eye on the strategic agenda
Sound stakeholder management, being able to influence & drive results beyond formal reporting lines
Ability to navigate complexity and change in a digital world, and adopt new approaches to strategic management and decision making
Brings a collaborative mindset
Ability to harness the power of diversity, and maximize performance within the organization
