On behalf of one of our clients based in Nord Vaudois, we are recruiting an Applied research scientist (m/f/d) with a positive mindset, a passion for their work, and a strong team spirit. Ready for your next professional challenge? Then this opportunity is made for you!

Responsibilities:

As an Applied research scientist (m/f/d) you develop mathematical models and algorithms for high-precision optical measurement methods. Moreover, you implement and evaluate statistical inference methods to quantify and control measurement uncertainty and detect errors. In addition, you develop and implement Python algorithms for sensor data analysis and fusion. You analyse the influence of machine, sensor and process parameters on measurement accuracy. Finally, you conduct research projects from mathematical modeling.

Profile :

• University degree (mathematics, statistics or physics)
• Experience in statistical inference and uncertainly modeling (Bayesian methods, error propagation
• Experience in programming (Python)
• Excellent knowledge in mathematical modeling, statistics and numerical methods
• Good ability to analyse complexe technical systems mathematically and model them in a structured way
