Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Banquet Sous Chef is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Banquet Sous Chef reports to the Banquet Head Chef

• As Banquet Sous Chef you will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Working under the guidance of the Banquet Head Chef, be able to organize the team and workflow to execute the menu dishes according to the recipes and user guides in a high volume atmosphere for our guests
• Lead and drive the team to maintain the highest level of productivity and efficiency in overall food preparation in the F&B outlets plus in-room dining
• Be able to project and procure the adequate amount of products and prepare in timely manner
• Demonstrate the ultimate level of food safety, understanding HACCP principles, possess the highest personal hygiene

As Banquet Sous Chef, we expect from you:

• Globally-recognized culinary qualification
• Menu planning and recipes knowledge
• Fine dining knowledge and experience for at least 5 years
• Excellent leadership skills and able to motivate the team to deliver exceptional quality
• Speak, read and communicate in a good level of German and English
• Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards
• Very good Food & Beverage knowledge
• Very good kitchen organisation experience
