You will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the insurance business value chain. This role combines deep industry knowledge with advanced analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights, optimize performance, and support strategic initiatives. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, value generation mindset, and the ability to present compelling business cases to senior leadership.

In this role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership to develop our business intelligence capability, ensuring fit for purpose insights / performance analytics to drive a culture of evidence-based decision making, working with senior business stakeholders to develop data driven products and support the company wide digital transformation.

Key Capabilities

• End-to-End Insurance Value Chain Knowledge: Understand and analyze processes across Sales, underwriting and customer services to identify improvement opportunities.
• Data Analytics & Insights: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor business performance. Apply advanced analytics techniques (predictive modelling, trend analysis) to support decision-making. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Performance Management: Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the insurance lifecycle. Provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Business Problem Solving & Value Generation: Identify business challenges / opportunities to drive more value and propose data-driven solutions. Quantify potential benefits and risks of proposed initiatives.
• Business Case Development & C-Suite Presentation: Prepare robust business cases with clear ROI and strategic alignment. Present findings and recommendations to senior executives in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, underwriting, claims, finance, IT, and operations teams to align BI initiatives with business objectives.
• Governance & Quality Control: Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. Implement quality control processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of BI outputs. Monitor adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements across all BI activities.

Deliverables include but are not limited to:

• Define, standardize, and quality assure key end to end business performance indicators to deliver regular performance insights for data driven decisions on performance / value generation, while maintaining the integrity / consistency of measurement methodology and ensuring appropriate governance controls are applied.
• End to End Business performance framework design and delivery, highlighting trends and proposing improvement actions to management / relevant functions.
• BI strategy design and delivery with alignment of performance KPIs with strategy to support transformation delivery.
• Core Business Data model integrity and availability.
• Regular BI reporting to management to steer business performance.
• Performance and Product Formula mgmt.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• 7-10 years insurance experience preferred with a significant period in business intelligence, analytics, performance mgmt. or related roles.
• Experience leading teams is an advantage.
• Experience leading cross functional projects / transformation.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI/ML) for insurance analytics.
