      As Chef de Cuisine

      • you will be responsible for the following duties:
      • Design and implement menus that fit the requirements of Savoy Brasserie & Bar, In Room Dining, Banquet and 1838 Rooftop Bar as set out by the Executive Chef
      • Co-ordinate with other areas with regards to menu implementation
      • Provide recipes and costing according to the ordering system, training and experience to all staff so as to improve on all things where possible
      • Relay any information from the kitchen or to the kitchen that is relevant to the daily operation of the department through daily briefings or staff meetings
      • To be aware of and adhere to company policies and statutory requirements with regards to health and safety, sanitation, fire procedures and HACCP
      • Ensure that the staff maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas and ensure that all colleagues clean their stations after every service
      • Set and maintain a very high food standard for all colleagues to aspire to and learn from
      • Provide necessary training to staff for relevant jobs and cooking procedures

      As Chef de Cuisine, we expect from you:

      • Degree or certificate in culinary arts
      • Several years of experience as a chef, with at least 1 year of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in an international luxury hotel chain/group
      • Possess creativity and passion to keep up to date with the latest culinary trends
      • Western cuisine background is preferred
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Excellent stakeholder management skills
      • Possess the ability to work with people across all demographics and culture
      • Enjoy interacting with guests, employees and third parties

      Self-motivator and driver

      • Possess good foundation in mathematical skills, including knowledge and experience in budgeting, profit/loss concepts
      • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
      • Successful applicants must have the right to work in Switzerland
