PostDoc Position in Neuroscience

The Department of Biomedicine is a joint effort between the University of Basel and the University Hospitals Basel. The research group ,,Ocular Pharmacology and Physiology" at the Department of Biomedicine is looking for a postdoctoral level scientist with interest in brain waste clearance. The focus of our research is to understand how toxic metabolites such as amyloid-beta and others are cleared from the cerebrospinal fluid and the brain, and how this process can be leveraged therapeutically. The starting date is open.

Your position

• Designing, planning and performing animal experiments
• (Immuno-)histochemical tissue analysis
• Generation and analysis of novel reporter mouse lines
• Isolation of cells for single cell RNA-Seq analysis
• Supporting Ph.D. students

Your profile

• Ph.D. in life sciences
• Hands-on experience with mouse models
• Experience with intrathecal injection in mouse
