As a Director in the Non-Life Insurance practice, you will join a leading actuarial team that is actively shaping the transformation of the Swiss insurance industry. You will apply your deep expertise in actuarial topics and take ownership of high‑impact projects for major insurers and reinsurers
The Swiss insurance market is defined by stringent regulatory requirements (e.g., SST, IFRS 17), increasing innovation pressure, and strong international connectivity. In this dynamic environment, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage and further develop your leadership capabilities and technical expertise while contributing to meaningful change across the industry
Your key responsibilities
Support and manage the actuarial part of the audit of large, international insurance companies
Being responsible for the use and development of our reserving tools and dashboards
Provide strategic advice to clients on implementing regulatory requirements, optimizing business processes, and digitizing actuarial workflows
Develop, validate, and present models for risk assessment, capital modelling, and forecasting
Lead and develop project teams, foster knowledge sharing, and mentor junior colleagues
Present results and recommendations to senior management and client stakeholders
Take responsibility for international projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Switzerland and globally
Contribute to innovation initiatives, including data analytics, machine learning, and the digitalization of actuarial processes
What we look for
Several years of professional experience as an actuary in non-life insurance, with knowledge of the international insurance market and proven leadership experience
Several years of experience in non-life reserving of international business across various countries and lines of business including US, Europe and LatAm
A university degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field; ideally complemented by a recognized actuarial qualification (SAV, DAV, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in insurance including international standards such as IFRS 17
Experience with actuarial software (e.g., Arius) and with developing models using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, R, VBA)
Exceptional analytical skills, a structured and reliable working style, and strong problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated leadership abilities, a collaborative mindset, and the capacity to independently manage complex projects
