Participate in detector developments for particle physics experiments in close cooperation with other chip designers, physicists, students, and technicians. Contribute to the design of detectors and detector readout chips, with a primary focus on digital design, covering the full flow from behavioral modeling and RTL design to physical synthesis, timing analysis, optimization, and sign-off. Contribute to practical laboratory work, including electronics development, chip integration, testing, and characterization. Supervise an electronics apprentice in their 3rd or 4th year of vocational training, who will support you in your projects. Anforderungen: Master in Electronics or Microelectronics Engineering or equivalent. Solid experience in digital ASIC design (e.g. Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL). Knowledge of at least one scripting or data analysis languages (e.g. Python, MATLAB, -). Openness to innovative, unconventional approaches and trying new things, as well as learning additional skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good spoken and written English.
