You develop concepts and participate in feasibility studies to meet technical requirements
You perform and take ownership of specific software development tasks, ensuring reviews using checklists and templates
You lead work package definition, estimation, and planning, and enhance or document SW unit specifications and designs
You review designs and contribute to the SW architecture, defining quality attributes and staying updated with technology trends
You conduct root-cause analysis of complex issues and provide bug fixes for post-market software releases
You ensure compliance with processes, propose improvements, and stay informed about regulatory and market standards
Profile
Hands-on experience developing embedded or systems-level software in a professional setting
Experience with real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or a comparable RTOS
Experience with hardware communication protocols: CAN bus (required)
Practical understanding of real-time constraints: latency, jitter, task scheduling
Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Rust; solid grasp of ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits and error handling
Comfortable with asynchronous programming in Rust, as well as experienced with Linux and familiarity with embedded build/debug tooling
University degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; willingness to write good documentation and drive work to conclusion, highly motivated, deadline-focused, with a proactive and thorough way of working
Willingness to work in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace or industrial safety) and follow structured development processes
