      • The Facilities Manager, Germany is responsible for the operational, technical, and strategic management of all company facilities across Germany and occasionally the wider European region. This role ensures the safe, compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective operation of a diverse real estate portfolio comprising manufacturing, laboratory, office, and sales environments, totaling approximately 200,000 sq. ft. across five sites
      • Based in Heidelberg, this position reports to the Senior Facilities Manager, Europe and works closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure compliance with German regulatory requirements and corporate standards. The role contributes both strategically and operationally, setting high standards for facilities management and supporting business continuity, employee wellbeing, and long‑term site development

      Manage all day‑to‑day facilities operations across German sites, including maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, landscaping, and other essential soft and hard services. Ensure full compliance with German statutory requirements, including , , , environmental regulations, and local authority requirements. Partner closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to maintain safe, healthy, and compliant working environments across all locations. Maintain the effectiveness of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems through strict adherence to corporate policies and local procedures. Complete all QHSE‑related actions (e.g. CAPAs, NCRs, audits, inspections) accurately and within required timelines

      Lead and deliver facilities projects including refurbishments, infrastructure upgrades, space reconfigurations, and sustainability initiatives. Plan and implement space utilisation strategies to support organisational growth and operational efficiency. Prepare annual and five‑year preventative maintenance programmes to support asset reliability and long‑term planning. Manage engineering planning, design coordination, and contractor supervision. Lead change initiatives to minimise disruption to core business activities during project execution

      Stakeholder & Leadership

      • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, site leadership, works councils (where applicable), and external service providers. Ensure clear, consistent communication with employees, management, and contractors regarding facilities matters. Monitor service delivery performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous improvement
      • Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) system at the sites via adherence to applicable policies and procedures. Complete Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) System related actions in a timely manner according to procedures e.g. CAPA, NCR Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
      • Qualifications / Education required:
      • Degree or equivalent qualification in . Recognised (national or international). Professional FM or engineering certifications are advantageous
      • Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline
      • Health & Safety qualification
      • Experience required:
      • Proven experience in within a corporate or industrial environment. Strong technical knowledge of . Demonstrated experience managing multi‑site portfolios and complex stakeholder environments. Solid project management capability, including contractor and budget management. Experience with CAFM systems (e.g. ) and AutoCAD is desirable
