| The EPFL School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC) invites applications for a position as Associate Professor of Architectural Design within the Institute of Architecture and the City (IA), at a 70% appointment. We are seeking a candidate who has made significant contributions to the discipline of architecture through built projects and research. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a distinctive and critical approach to architectural practice, supported by internationally recognized work (awards, publications, and participation in global discourse) and a strong research portfolio (publications and conference engagements). In alignment with ENAC’s values, we are particularly interested in practitioners who integrate disciplinary expertise with a deep engagement in social and ecological concerns. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and will be expected to conduct innovative research in architectural design, teach design studios at both the Bachelor and Master levels, and particularly a first-year Bachelor studio considered foundational to be taught in French. The candidate will also contribute to studio and course teaching within a collaborative team environment and is expected to actively participate in the broader academic life of the School. The EPFL Institute of Architecture and the City at ENAC, is an international leader in architecture, urban /territorial design, and home of one of the three university- level architecture schools in Switzerland.
