Location: this role can be based in one of our major Buildings Business Unit locations. Prerequisite is a valid work permit for the respective location. Relocation is not planned and required for this role.
Role Overview
Join us as the Head of Customer Development within our Global Enterprise Customers team, leading a team of Customer Developers. Strong leadership will be a key success factor in this role, as you shape how SI Buildings partners with global companies to achieve their strategic and operational goals. You’ll build long-term, outcome-driven relationships, helping customers unlock innovation, speed, and simplicity across their global building portfolios
In this role, you’ll engage directly with senior executives, identify cross-border growth opportunities, and deliver consistent, measurable impact for both our customers and Siemens. Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the global Enterprise Customer Development strategy, driving profitable growth, global sales KPIs, and building long-term, trust-based partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes
- Lead enterprise customer engagement and development, shaping value-based, insight-driven concepts and C-level relationship strategies
- Own global pipeline creation and opportunity management, ensuring high-quality reporting and predictable performance
- Drive cross-functional and cross-country collaboration throughout customer development phases, ensuring consistent customer experience and alignment across regions and functions
- Lead and develop a high-performing global Customer Development team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer centricity, and value selling
- Create and disseminate global best practices, methodologies, and customer references to accelerate business transformation and scalable growth
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field, providing a strong analytical and problem-solving foundation
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise sales and strategic account management, business development, with a proven track record as a sales leader driving strategy, pipeline growth, deal execution, and long-term revenue growth for complex offerings managing long-term customer relationships
- Strong understanding of the buildings technology industry and how Siemens Buildings solutions can be applied to address customer needs
- Proven ability to drive change management and sales transformation during growth and scale-up phases
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and influence across direct and matrixed teams
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and experience working in an international matrixed organization environment
- Fluent in English, with additional languages considered an asset
- Flexibility to travel required
