      Head of Product Support (m/f/d)

      Overview

      The Head of Product Support leads WinGD’s technical lifecycle ownership from R&D handover to end of warranty, ensuring timely, customer‑centric support for engine builders and owners. The role oversees Product Care, Warranty, Documentation and Supplier Engineering, acts as the operational interface between engine builders and internal functions, and drives continuous improvement to reduce CoPQ, strengthen product reliability and secure a consistent global customer experience.

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead and develop the Product Support organisation (Product Care, Warranty, Documentation, Supplier Engineering).
      • Ensure strong collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, R&D, Digital, Supply Chain, Sales and Service.
      • Oversee all technical lifecycle activities from R&D handover to end of warranty, ensuring timely clarifications and configuration correctness.
      • Govern lifecycle processes, tools and KPIs, ensuring structured case handling and effective escalation to RCA/Task Force and R&D.
      • Ensure consistent technical evaluation of warranty cases and strengthen feedback loops to Engineering, Product Management and R&D.
      • Ensure high‑quality Product Care support, including technical clarifications, pre‑delivery checks and coordination with local teams.
      • Oversee lifecycle documentation and supplier development to ensure accuracy, completeness and market‑specific requirements.
      • Ensure a credible, transparent and customer‑centric technical interface for engine builders and owners, improving response time and communication quality.
      • Build team capability through clear roles, coaching and continuous competence development.

      Requirements

      • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Marine or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
      • 15+ years of experience in product lifecycle, engineering, product care, warranty or technical service in a complex industrial or marine environment.
      • Proven experience in leading international, multidisciplinary teams in a senior management role.
      • Strong technical background in engine systems and lifecycle support, ideally including 2‑stroke engines and/or future‑fuel technologies.
      • Solid experience in warranty management, product care and systemic issue resolution (RCA, CAPA/8D).
      • Demonstrated ability to manage interfaces between Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Service.
      • Track record in driving quality improvement, CoPQ reduction and lifecycle KPIs.
      • Strong customer‑centric mindset with experience interacting directly with engine builders and owners.
      • Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management skills, including at senior level.
      • Fluent in English; German and/or Mandarin are a strong plus; willingness to travel internationally.
