We’re looking for a leader to build and lead our Observability & AIOps Center of Excellence from the ground up
As Head of IT Operations Engineering, you will define the vision, strategy, and operating model for enterprise-wide observability and AIOps solution. You will shape how observability becomes a core, shared capability across engineering and the business, driving reliability, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making at scale
You will establish ways of working, set clear priorities, and ensure close collaboration with platform, product, and operations teams. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you will align the team’s outcomes with reliability, operational excellence, and business priorities across cloud-native and hybrid environments
This role is ideal for a hands-on, visionary leader who thrives on building new capabilities, setting direction, and turning complexity into clarity, while creating a culture where insight, automation, and resilience are built in by design
What You Will Do
Build, lead, and scale the Observability & AIOps Center of Excellence team, defining its mission, operating model, and engagement approach as a central enablement function for the organization
Define and drive enterprise observability standards and reference architectures, enabling consistent and effective adoption across metrics, logs, traces, telemetry pipelines, and alerting
Partner closely with platform, product, and application teams, coaching them on observability best practices and embedding observability into the software delivery lifecycle
Lead stakeholder alignment and communication, translating technical observability insights into clear, business-relevant outcomes for engineering leadership and senior management
Advance automation, observability-as-code, and AIOps practices, enabling scalable operations and continuous improvements in reliability, efficiency, and resilience
What You Bring
Leadership experience in technology or IT Operations, with a strong track record of setting vision, defining strategy, and building scalable organizational capabilities
Proven ability to build, lead, and coach high-performing teams, while influencing practices and outcomes beyond direct reporting lines
Strategic and organizational leadership skills, including defining operating models, standards, stakeholder management and governance to drive consistency and long-term impact
Strong expertise in modern observability concepts and practices across metrics, logs, traces, OpenTelemetry, and distributed systems
Experience scaling observability platforms such as Elastic Stack and Grafana across multiple teams and environments would be a plus
Diversity is important to us. Therefore, we are looking to receiving applications regardless of any personal background
