Head R&D Projects (m/w/d)

In this role, you take the global lead for New Product Development (NPD) projects at SCHURTER. You are responsible for the governance, execution and continuous improvement of our R&D landscape and lead a highly skilled team of R&D project leaders & engineers working on next-generation technologies and platforms for electrical components.

Your Challenges

• Global leadership of the NPD pipeline, framework and execution

• Line management and development of the R&D Projects team (~15 engineers)

• Project lead for complex, highly innovative NPD of next-generation products

• Coaching and developing project leaders and cross-functional teams

• Steering NPD performance (scope, time, cost, production cost)

• Continuous optimization of development landscape, interfaces and processes

• Close collaboration with Business Development, Product Management and Operations

• Optional responsibility as PLM Process Owner

• Optional role as Jira / Confluence Product Owner

Your Qualifications

• Engineering degree (TS/HF, FH/HTL, ETH or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical or comparable discipline

• Advanced technical or methodological training

• Seniority in engineering and/or product development

• Proven leadership experience

• Strong technical background

• Excellent project management and analytical skills

• Structured, solution-oriented mindset, Teamplayer

• Strong communication skills in German & English
