      Mission

      • In this position, you will be part of the Industrial Liaison Office and work closely with all the units of the Vice-Presidency for Innovation and Impact (VPI), developing a solid knowledge of the EPFL Innovation ecosystem, including research laboratories, students and startups, to become a privileged point of contact for a portfolio of companies and a trusted point of contact for researchers. In addition, you will contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of EPFL Open Innovation Program, creating value for participating companies while strengthening long-term engagement with EPFL
      • Foster trustful relationship with a portfolio of companies having a long-term relationship with EPFL
      • Build relationships with new industry partners
      • Actively contribute to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our Open Innovation Program, ensuring a high-value experience for participating companies and alignment with institutional objectives
      • Acquire a thorough understanding of companies and professors' needs and ensure appropriate collaboration models and services are developed and delivered. Link to other EPFL entities depending on the needs
      • Acquire a strong knowledge and understanding of EPFL ecosystem for helping companies to identify the right partners for their innovation projects
      • Be proactive in proposing new potential collaboration opportunities by following EPFL research activities
      • Resolve any issues and problems the partner faces and deal with complaints to maintain trust and enrich existing collaboration
      • Serve as the communication link between companies, researchers, EPFL & VPI teams and services
      • Represent the VPI and organize industrial visits
      • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts using key account metrics

      Support the different VPI and EPFL industry support programs and contribute developing new services for VPI and EPFL

      Profile

      • Scientific or engineering background (Master degree, Ph.D. a plus), with a specialization in Life Sciences
      • Passion for science and technology-driven innovation
      • Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination
      • Former experience in product development and/or innovation management in a technology company
      • Experience in providing solutions based on customer needs
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organization levels and different cultures
      • Excellent organizational skills and ability in problem-solving and negotiation
      • Excellent presentation skills
      • Languages: Fluency in English and French is required, and other languages (e.g., German/) would be a plus
      • Team player, autonomous, curious with a strong commitment to results
