      The opportunity

Join an innovative and collaborative engineering team shaping the future of high-voltage technology. You will contribute to the development of next-generation SF6-free circuit breakers in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment. This role offers hands-on experience with simulations, measurements, and cutting-edge dielectric tools. You will learn from experienced mentors while taking ownership of meaningful tasks. The position supports continuous learning, curiosity, and professional growth.

      How you’ll make an impact

      • Support development of SF6-free high-voltage circuit breakers through simulations and testing

      • Perform electric field simulations to support dielectric design decisions

      • Analyze and evaluate breakdown measurements and test results

      • Maintain and expand breakdown databases including alternative gases

      • Use and further develop internally established dielectric evaluation tools

      • Contribute to design optimization through simulation insights and basic testing

      • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams in circuit breaker development

      • Conduct literature research on breakdown and flashover phenomena and extract relevant data including simulations (Comsol)

      Your background

      • Enrolled Student (preferably Master) or Graduate in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

      • Strong programming skills and interest in Python, Matlab, or Excel

      • Fluent in written and spoken English

      • Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills

      • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative independently

      • Interest in high-voltage systems and simulation-based engineering (Comsol, CAD, Creo)
