The opportunity
Join our Bipolar Semiconductor R&D team at the factory in Lenzburg, CH. You’ll contribute to a project focused on semiconductor technology, a key technology for sustainable energy transmission. In this internship, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, gaining hands-on experience in semiconductor design and processing. We offer a supportive environment where you can grow, learn, and make a real impact. The duration of the internship is 1 month.
How you’ll make an impact
Assist in researching and developing semiconductor technology on the design and manufacturing level
Assist in developing new thyristor structures
Documenting and communicating the solutions developed to ensure knowledge transfer within the research team and relevant business areas
Your background
Currently pursuing a PhD. degree in electrical engineering, preferably in electronics / microelectronics, and semiconductor physics (official enrolment is essential)
Understanding fundamental concepts in thyristor design
Familiarity with device simulation of complex thyristor structures
Programing skills for data analysis and mask drawing
Fluency in written and spoken English
Good communication and cooperation skills, creativity and the ability to work independently
