IT System Engineer (100%)

Your contribution
In this challenging and important role, you will define, develop, and operate the global endpoint platform for a diverse device landscape with over 3,500 clients. You will ensure a secure, stable, and standardized environment across all locations and use cases, from legacy production systems to modern cloud-managed workplaces. Your expertise will drive global endpoint standardization, lead the transition towards unified device management, and ensure consistent configuration, update, and security baselines across the entire fleet.
Responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and evolve the global endpoint architecture, standards, and configuration baselines.
- Lead the transition from traditional models to unified device management.
- Develop and operate updates, patching, and compliance strategies for all endpoint types.
- Manage the full endpoint lifecycle (provisioning, onboarding, replacement, retirement).
- Automate deployments, configurations, compliance checks, and application distribution.
- Provide 3rd-level support and perform detailed root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Security, Network, Infrastructure, Applications, and regional teams.
- Evaluate new technologies and assess their applicability to the global endpoint environment.
- Ensure a secure, consistent, and compliant global endpoint environment.
Your background

- Recognized IT education (e.g., Systemtechnik, Informatik, Fähigkeitsausweis)
- 6+ years in IT with a focus on client engineering/management
- Deep Windows OS expertise
- Active Directory & Group Policy management
- Client management technologies (Intune, SCCM, Endpoint Manager)
- M365 & Office application deployment/support
- Update and patch management
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation
- Documentation & process standardization
- Experience with heterogeneous devices (mobile, scanners, tablets)
- Networking basics (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, FW)
- Fluent English language skills, German is nice to have
