LINUX Administrator/System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate IT infrastructure based on Linux/Kubernetes
• Manage operating systems like Debian/Centos, storage solutions like NAS, virtualization technologies like Proxmox, and containerization tools like Docker
• Maintain network, firewall, and VPN configurations
• Procure and commission hardware for infrastructure needs
• Set up and maintain test environments for new projects
• Manage user access rights and usage policies
• Operate databases including Oracle and Postgres
• Proficient in shell scripting for automation tasks

Build & Release Management:

• Administer Build Pipeline tools such as Gerrit, Jenkins, Nexus, and Docker for continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Handle packaging and delivery of software applications
• Provide technical support during installations
• Plan and coordinate software releases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator.
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and German.
