Responsibilities:
Planning, organisation, and execution of large 2-stroke engine commissioning activities at Licensee sites, primarily in China, but also globally as required
Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Licensees, shipyards, and classification societies, to ensure smooth commissioning processes
Preparation of detailed commissioning plans, including resource allocation, equipment readiness, and logistical arrangements
Coordination of commissioning documentation, ensuring accurate records for each project phase
On-site leadership during engine commissioning, managing the expert team and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the process
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning, working closely with engineering and design teams
Compilation of comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting results, deviations, and recommendations for improvements
Contribution to continuous improvement of commissioning processes, standardisation of best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements:
Minimum BSc degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Marine engineering, Mechatronics, or similar discipline
Analytical and structured way of working
Resilient, and ability to stay calm during hectic situations whilst keeping a full overview
Knowledge and experience with combustion engines, preferably 2 stroke marine engines
First management and leadership experience desired, but not must
A good level of English, both written and spoken
