Job Summary:

• We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Moldmaker Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing molds for manufacturing processes, such as plastic injection molding for Packaging with a dominant for Closures. Main scope in Beverage
• You will collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams to develop high-precision tooling that meets customer specifications, industry standards, and cost efficiency requirements
• Design 3D and 2D mold components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Create and revise mold designs based on product requirements, manufacturability, and mold flow analysis
• Collaborate with product development, engineering, and toolroom teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and durability standards, and comply with tolerances and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing requirements
• Specify materials, cooling systems, ejection systems, parting lines, gating systems, and other mold features
• Prepare detailed drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and documentation for manufacturing and maintenance
• Review and troubleshoot mold design issues, both during design and post-production stages
• Stay updated on industry best practices, materials, and new technologies related to moldmaking
• Support quoting process by providing design input and estimated tooling requirements
• Maintain organized records of mold designs, revisions, and changes
