      The Clinic of Radio-Oncology & Medical Oncology at the University Animal Hospital Zurich (Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich) has a vacancy from 1.7.2025 or by arrangement for a Position for an assistant veterinarian as part of a "Specialty Internship Oncology" The position is expected to last 1 year. Requirements are a degree in veterinary medicine and an interest in oncology. This is a full-time position within the framework of an internship and is remunerated according to our guidelines with a salary of approx. CHF 70,000 in the first year. The duties will focus on the clinical service within our clinic:
      • Treatment of oncological patients (mainly radiotherapy stereotaxy service, incl. anesthesia), as well as follow-up visits
      • Care of inpatient oncology patients
      • Independent communication with animal owners and referring veterinarians
      • processing and assessment of oncological patients (diagnostics) under the guidance of a senior physician
      • No night shifts are required. On weekends (every 3 to 4 weeks), the care of any inpatients is to be shared on a pro rata basis. We are looking for an independent and proactive person who can organize themselves well in the daily clinical routine. Colloquial German language skills (at least level B1) and a good knowledge of English are required for the position. If the required German language skills are not yet available, it must be stated how and in what period of time they are to be acquired. The position is full-time and regularly paid. It is not possible to bring your own dog.
