IT Service Engineering is a radical shift in how Axpo builds and operates IT services. We engineer IT services like products - with data quality, automation, and integration built in by design to deliver a consistent, scalable service experience across the Group.

The Product Owner - Service Engineering drives the service platform roadmap together with the Head of IT Service Engineering. The role shapes, maintains, and communicates the roadmap, translates strategy into a prioritized backlog, balances user value with platform health, and keeps the team focused on outcomes rather than only incoming requests. Critically, the role is outward-facing: engaging directly with key internal customers, including Nuclear, Generation & Distribution, CKW, and Trading & Sales, to understand their requirements and drive their onboarding onto the platform.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and Business IT. It ensures that IT service capabilities are not only technically sound, but also understandable, adoptable, and genuinely useful - making the platform attractive to internal users by delivering real value in day-to-day use.

What you will do:

• Co-own the service platform roadmap with the Head of IT Service Engineering, ensuring prioritization and communication.
• Translate business needs, user feedback, and technical input into features, epics, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Engage proactively with key internal customers (e.g., Nuclear, CKW, Trading & Sales) to understand requirements and drive onboarding.
• Drive rollout and adoption of service capabilities, including training, documentation, and onboarding materials.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to balance technical feasibility and business value.
• Continuously improve usability, clarity, and adoption of the platform across the Group.

What you bring & who you are:

• University degree in IT, Business Informatics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid experience as a Product Owner or similar role in IT or digital environments.
• Strong understanding of backlog management, agile delivery practices, and IT service management processes (e.g., ITSM).
• Technically fluent, with the ability to discuss trade-offs, workflows, and automation patterns with engineers.
• Excellent communication skills and a structured, analytical mindset.
• Fluent in English and German; Spanish is a plus.
