Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian non-profit organization that provides medical assistance to populations facing life-threatening crises, primarily in cases of armed conflict, epidemics and pandemics, natural disasters, or lack of access to healthcare. Founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors, MSF is now a global movement with over 69,000 people, including field staff and headquarters personnel. Guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence, and neutrality, MSF is 97% funded by private donations. MSF Switzerland was established in 1981 and has its headquarters in Geneva and a branch in Zürich. The Regular Donor Acquisition unit is one of the specialized units within the Communication and Fundraising Department, and its mission is to recruit long-term regular donors through face-to-face interactions. The Program Officer – German-speaking Switzerland is a member of the Regular Donor Acquisition unit and reports directly to the Head of the unit.

      Tasks & Responsibilities As part of the regular donor recruitment strategy, the Program Officer – German-speaking Switzerland will be responsible for: Developing and implementing the location strategy for Face-to-Face (F2F) and Door-to-Door (D2D) acquisition campaigns in German-speaking Switzerland Supporting recruitment, Human Resources management, and logistics for acquisition campaigns in the region Managing or participating in new projects or ad hoc campaigns aimed at recruiting regular donors in German-speaking Switzerland Scope of responsibilities: Management of the location strategy for F2F and D2D acquisition campaigns in German-speaking Switzerland Development of the annual location strategy for F2F & D2D acquisition campaigns in German-speaking Switzerland, both independently and in collaboration with external agencies. Annual planning of acquisition activities in German-speaking Switzerland, ensuring good coordination and complementarity between campaigns. Optimization of campaign planning and the proposal of strategic recommendations. Development and implementation of the strategy and action plan for acquiring and retaining location partners. Management and follow-up of existing partnerships. Active prospecting of new location partners, including on-site partner visits. Informing local authorities when needed about current or upcoming acquisition campaigns. Management and monitoring of the budget allocated to locations in German-speaking Switzerland. Administrative preparation and follow-up of location authorization requests. - Organization of “traveling” or “mobile” acquisition campaigns. Administrative and logistical management of F2F &D2D in German-speaking Switzerland Participation in the development of the recruitment strategy. Preparatory and administrative management of the recruitment process, including the organization of job interviews. Participation in job interviews and formulation of relevant recommendations. Ensuring compliance and quality of deliverables from F2F and D2D campaigns by conducting regular quality checks and completing any missing information when needed. Support in the digitalization of supporter sign-up forms for MSF. Participation in the creation or update of communication materials and training tools. Carrying out any administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of acquisition campaigns. Management or participation in ad hoc acquisition projects and/or campaigns According to the needs of the Regular Donor Acquisition unit: Management of specific projects in strategic areas such as Recruitment, Quality, Innovation, Audience targeting, etc. Management or active participation in ad hoc acquisition campaigns. Other Active participation in the development of the F2F/D2D strategy and annual budget planning Participation in team, departmental, and cross-functional working group meetings Active involvement in inter-section working groups (e.g., F2F Community of Practice or others) Contribution to joint reflection on the development of fundraising tools Participation in briefing sessions and staying informed about various MSF projects and overall organizational updates

      Your profile Education CFC level or equivalent Higher education in marketing, fundraising, business, or business strategy is an asset. Experience At least 1 year of experience in customer service At least 1 year of experience in fundraising  Experience in face-to-face (F2F) and/or door-to-door (D2D) fundraising is a plus Knowledge of MSF and/or the humanitarian sector. Languages German/Swiss German: Excellent level (spoken and written) English: Good level (spoken and written) French and/or Italian: an asset Skills/ Technical competencies In-depth knowledge of German-speaking Switzerland Good understanding of face-to-face (F2F) fundraising principles Strong recruitment skills Solid negotiation skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Personal Abilities/Qualities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Autonomous, versatile, and proactive Team player with a collaborative mindset Strong interpersonal and listening skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Adaptability and stress resilience Flexible, committed, motivated, and positive attitude Terms of employment Part-time position 80% (32h/week) Open-ended contract Working place: Zurich, Switzerland Ideal start date: As soon as possible Gross annual salary (for 80%): from CHF 69’897.- to CHF 80’486.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid) Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period. Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member. Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.
