Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of High Voltage Products. It is our goal to offer excellent solutions for our customers and society.
Our unit is responsible for extensions, retrofits, replacements of own and third-party substations, including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services and troubleshooting. You would be part of an international team, where we support each other and grow together.
Join our team as Project Manager for Service. In this challenging role, you successfully manage the entire end to end process of our projects and you confidently represent the interests of the company towards our customers. For this challenging opportunity, we are looking for someone, who has a technical background with experience in a Project Management position and who is motivated to plan, manage and control the project activities with a hands-on approach and international exposure.
How you’ll make an impact
Responsible for the successful execution of diverse projects, starting with the handover from the sales department, throughout design, production, and until the completion of site works
After project handover, coordination of the project team with members from the required disciplines, ensuring that all assigned tasks and work packages are completed according to the project plan
Definition and management of all project milestones during project execution, ensuring on‑time, on‑quality, and on‑cost delivery of products; proactive reporting to management in case of deviations and initiation of appropriate corrective actions
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction through open and proactive communication
Management of customer contracts by applying strong commercial expertise
Handling changes in scope of delivery, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and margin while actively reducing project risks
Sharing knowledge, success stories, and lessons learned with the team, while identifying, initiating, and leading continuous improvement actions
Your background
Combination of a technical education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with commercial training
Several years of experience in project management; a project management certification is considered an advantage
Demonstrated positive mindset and constructive approach when dealing with complex or urgent challenges
Business‑fluent German and English; Spanish, French, or additional languages are considered a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills required to succeed in this role
Ideally, experience with SAP and product knowledge in GIS
