The Regional Security Manager is responsible for managing and advancing Holcim’s Security operations across the region. This position ensures the protection of Holcim’s employees, assets, ecosystem, and reputation against security risks, including criminal and malicious acts. The role involves overseeing the implementation of security policies and frameworks in the region, driving performance improvements, and fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. The Regional Security Manager will play a key role in crisis management and regional security incident response, supporting Holcim’s goal to be a leader in safety, resilience, and security within the building materials industry.
1. Security & Resilience governance related responsibilities:
Act as Group Security and Resilience liaison manager with the country security managers/coordinators (CSM/CSC), the country CEOs, and the Heads of Central and East Europe (EUCE) or West Europe (EUW).
Drive the consistent implementation of Holcim’s Security & Resilience governance in the Europe (EUCE or EUW) region.
Assist the CSM/CSC with the implementation and continuous improvement of Holcim’s Security & Resilience governance in their country.
Provide expert guidance to the business in the proactive management of security risks, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and reputation.
Deliver and support training and awareness programs to embed a culture of security and resilience in the region.
Maintain regional situational awareness, including internal and external risk assessments, to inform business decision-making.
Develop and maintain relationships with governments, authorities, international agencies, and private security providers.
2. Crisis Management and Incident Response:
Oversee and coordinate regional security operations to ensure they are aligned with corporate standards and respond effectively to security incidents.
Oversee the monitoring and reporting of security incidents, KPIs, and risk issues to ensure transparency and accountability.
Oversee corrective actions for performance gaps and ensure the implementation of improvement plans.
Advise regional leadership and country teams on security strategy, response plans, and risk management initiatives.
Support in responding to security incidents and crises.
Has delegated authority to initiate first-response measures in regional security incidents, in line with Group protocols.
Engage with public authorities, private sector partners, and external stakeholders during crises to ensure coordinated response efforts.
1. Specific work experience:
At least 10 years of experience in senior management roles within security, focusing on the protection of assets and crisis management.
Proven experience in the manufacturing, industrial, or construction sectors is preferred.
Experience working in a regional, complex organizational structure, dealing with multi-national risks and operations.
Expertise in corporate security frameworks, risk management, and incident response strategies.
Strong understanding of security technologies, including threat detection, and crisis communication tools.

Level of education/qualifications normally required
Bachelor's Degree
Military or law enforcement experience is a plus
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is a plus
Language skills
Fluent in English and French or German.
Any other language of the region is a plus.
Mobility requirements
International travel is required (at least. 30%) for regional security coordination, crisis management, and stakeholder engagements
