experienced Sales professional (f/m/d, 100%) with a business development background

• This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in pharmaceutical sales, gain deep insights into generic drug development, sharpen your negotiation skills, and build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders across the industry
• At Bachem, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated cross-functional team from production, quality, regulatory affairs, and project management. State-of-the-art ERP and CRM tools (SAP, Salesforce) will support you in achieving excellence
• Develop expert knowledge of Bachem’s portfolio, pipeline, and the global generic API market
• Grow your sales territory strategically by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships
• Plan and conduct customer visits to build trust and drive collaboration
• Prepare and present commercial proposals for complex projects
• Lead pricing and contract negotiations to create business value
• Manage the full sales process, from quotation through to on-time delivery
• Act as the main contact for assigned customers, supported by subject matter experts in regulatory, GMP production, and analytics
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support
• Maintain accurate records in our CRM and contribute to forecasts and demand planning
• Collaborate in market strategy, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional projects
• Represent Bachem at international exhibitions to strengthen our brand and explore new business opportunities

Your profile:

• University degree in chemistry or life sciences
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in BD or technical sales (CDMO/CMO environment)
• Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset, results-driven mindset
• Excellent problem-solving skills and sound business judgment
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in English and/or other languages is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office; experience with ERP (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce)
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
