      noriware is an innovative materials science company specializing in the development of advanced materials processing technologies. We are creating breakthrough algae-based alternatives for packaging and a variety of plastic products. By integrating biochemistry with existing machinery and infrastructure in the plastics industry, we set new standards for sustainable, mechanically functional packaging fi lms.       Your role: As a Scale-Up Engineer at noriware, you will be responsible for bringing our innovative seaweed-based materials from lab to pilot and ultimately to full-scale production. You will work at the intersection of R&D, manufacturing, and business development, ensuring our materials can be effi ciently and sustainably produced at scale. This role requires both a technical and strategic mindset. You will not only refi ne processes but also identify the right partners, technologies, and production methods to bring our material to market.

      Your tasks: ● Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for algae-based materials, ensuring scalability, cost-effi ciency, and sustainability. ● Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with manufacturing partners to set up scalable production lines. ● Explore and test new manufacturing methods (e.g., casting, extrusion, coating) to optimize material production. ● Assess, integrate, and implement new machines or modifi cations to existing infrastructure for production. ● Create and maintain technical specifi cations and process documentation for scale-up and production. ● Work closely with scientists, engineers, and business teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with commercialization goals.

      Requirements: ● BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related fi eld. ● Strong knowledge of processing techniques, ideally with experience in bio-based materials. ● Hands-on experience with process optimization and commercialization of innovative materials. ● Experience in working with polysaccharides or water-soluble materials is a plus. ● Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ● Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners. ● Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving scale-up projects independently.
