Within our Legal & Compliance Platforms Team, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Senior Data Analyst who is ready to take ownership of advanced solutions in the fields of data engineering, analytics, and AI., , In this role, you will drive the development of intelligent platforms that integrate technologies such as intelligent document processing, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). You will work closely with colleagues from Legal, Compliance, and IT, playing a key role in the full lifecycle of our data-driven and AI-powered solutions

What would your role be?

• Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines and architectures within Azure
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to design, build and maintain AI-enhanced Legal & Compliance platforms
• Contribute to the integration of LLM-based tools, document intelligence, and graph databases
• Take ownership of cloud infrastructure and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are met
• Support stakeholders through actionable data analysis and intuitive data visualizations
• Bring a DevOps mindset to ensure smooth and reliable platform operations
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business IT, Mathematics, Physics or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with R and Java is a plus
• Solid experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar ETL tools
• Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including AI tools and data services
• Experience in requirements engineering and working in agile environments
• Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4J) is an advantage
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English; German is an advantage
