Your Role

As Senior Legal Counsel Private Banking at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you advise client relationship managers and the management on legal matters and ensure the provision of excellent banking services to our clients.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory services in all legal matters, mainly related to the Zurich branch
• Support client relationship managers and the management of the Bank in legal matters regarding the daily business of the Bank
• Handling of legal issues of any kind and coordination with external legal counsels (in litigation matters, for legal opinions, etc.)
• Drafting and review of standardized and non-standardized agreements between the Bank and clients or with other third parties
• Provide advice on major banking, regulatory or corporate projects and training courses
• Processing of requests from authorities and courts
• Support the Team Head in various legal matters

Your Profile

• Admission to the Swiss Bar
• Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in the legal department of a Swiss Bank, preferably Private Banking
• Ability to weigh problems and set priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
• Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability
• Ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in German and English
• Very good command in French and or Italian is a plus
