We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative, cross functional team within Swiss Re's Life and Health business in the EMEA region. As part of our Experience Studies team, you'll analyze portfolio performance, support key stakeholders, and deliver actionable insights that help set best estimates, define valuation assumptions, and steer management decisions

As a Senior Products Actuary specializing in Experience Studies, you'll support the EMEA Experience Studies Lead with activities that provide broad exposure to L&H business across the region. Your analytical expertise will directly influence business decisions and portfolio performance

The Experience Studies EMEA team is an international unit dedicated to monitoring and analyzing Life and Health experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We ensure correct assumptions are used for pricing and reserving of the portfolio to maintain long-term profitability. Our insights directly support strategic decision-making across the business, making our work essential to the company's success and sustainability

About You

• You're an effective team worker with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys building working relationships across technical subject areas. You work optimally across the L&H value chain, including with non-actuaries, and can transform complex data into actionable business insights. Your communication skills allow you to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences while collaborating effectively in an international setting
• We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:, • Qualified actuary with 5-15 years of experience in either L&H reinsurance or primary insurance, • Prior experience with Python and/or R, • Understanding and knowledge of L&H insurance products, • Strong documentation and governance mindset, • Strong communicator, including being capable of presenting and discussing results with clients and internal stakeholders, • Awareness of how experience studies influence assumption setting, profitability, and strategic decisions, • Ability to connect data insights to broader business implications, • Written and verbal proficiency in English is required
• These are additional nice to haves:, • German, French, Italian, Dutch or any other European languages are an asset, • Knowledge of emerging technologies in data science and actuarial analytics, • Experience working in multiple international markets, • Background in implementing process improvements or automation initiatives
• For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 128'000 and CHF 192'000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

• In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range
• In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus
• Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract
