Senior Windows System Engineer (a) in the region of Basel [Ref:2661]

Ihre Aufgaben

In this role, you will be part of the Windows System Engineering team, delivering reliable and secure Windows- and Citrix-based infrastructure services for the bank. You will contribute to the stability and development of our server landscape by driving operational excellence and supporting strategic infrastructure projects in an international environment.

Your key tasks include:

• Ensuring operational stability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Supporting and implementing infrastructure-related projects across our Windows environment (Active Directory, MS SQL, MS Cluster, etc.)
• Designing robust technical solutions with a focus on security and performance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our infrastructure based on industry best practices
• Participating in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 availability of core systems

You hold a university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, and you bring hands-on experience in managing Microsoft-based enterprise environments.

In addition, you bring the following skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and related technologies
• Sound knowledge in Exchange, MS SQL Server, and infrastructure security
• MCSE certification and familiarity with ITIL (v3 or higher) are advantageous
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage stakeholder expectations under pressure
• Strong problem-solving mindset and team-oriented approach
• Willingness to take ownership and deliver high-quality results
• Fluency in English; German skills are a plus
• Willingness to work fully onsite (100%)
