Service Sales Specialist (80-100%)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop service sales, from lead generation, service sales opportunities creation until securing the profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) and sell the entire Service portfolio. You will also showcase your skills by building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues. 
 
The work model for the role is hybrid. 
 
This role contributes to the Service of Mining and Materials Business Line within the Automation Process Industries division in a defined global region. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Penetrating into IB, promoting various upgrades, retrofits, and value-add services to the benefit of the customers and ABB. 
• Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of relatedprices,preparing sales plans, reviewing them, and proposing recovery plan(s) when needed. 
• Generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities byutilizingmarket trend information and throughidentifyingand exploring potential new service portfolios. 
• Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).

Qualifications for the role 

• Degree in Engineering Disciplines, Business Administration or similar and 5+ years of experience in the mining business. Experience in service sales or similar roles is very beneficial
• You are highly motivated and enjoy working in agile market and you’re willing to travel up to 30% worldwide
• Demonstrated experience in managing global accounts, increasing sales growth, and complex negotiations 
• Solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers 
• Solid data-driven pipeline & forecasting discipline (e.g., SFDC) 
• Experience with digital sales enablement, customer demonstrations, and lifecycle-service offerings are advantages. 
• Proven tender/pursuit leadership up to complex, high-value solution deals 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and German
