As a Software Asset Management Analyst you will have the opportunity to:
Serve
as the subject matter expert for Software Asset Management (SAM), providing guidance on complex software licensing topics and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs) across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments
Manage and optimise
software licensing for major enterprise vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Broadcom, IBM, SAP, Red Hat), ensuring compliance and maximising business value
and apply software licensing concepts and product use rights across modern technology landscapes, including containers, cloud platforms, and traditional infrastructure environments
data from enterprise systems and tools such as Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, and Intune to support software asset management, billing, cost allocation, and reporting activities
transparency of software-related costs by managing chargeback processes and enabling fair cost allocation to Business Units and Service Owners based on actual software consumption
and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external software vendors, leading negotiations and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
Identify, develop, and implement
initiatives that generate software cost savings, mitigate compliance risks, and enhance SAM processes, controls, and best practices
complex software contract negotiations, including demand management, contract renewals and amendments, while collaborating closely with sourcing, procurement, legal, and vendor management teams
the implementation and continuous improvement of global SAM standards, governance frameworks, controls, reporting capabilities, and performance metrics
innovation within SAM by leveraging AI and automation capabilities to reduce manual effort, identify recurring trends, and uncover optimisation opportunities
to the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the global Software Asset Management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and continuous operational excellence

3+ years of relevant proven experience with:
direct responsibility for managing software portfolio for least one of major software publishers in enterprise environment (irrespective of industry)
creating comprehensive fully optimized ELPs from data collection until finish
strong understanding of license restrictions, benefits, optimization opportunities
proficient use of SAM tools (ideally FlexeraOne) and supporting data sources
proven track record in adopting and embedding AI solutions in SAM operations
profit and Loss (P&L) calculations and accruals for cost impact
Fluent spoken and written English (strong B2+)
analytical skills, financial and commercial acumen, attention to detail, AI expertise, ability to process data in a complex global organizational environment
organizational, productivity, time and project management skills
ability to interface, influence and network with managers, staff and stakeholders inside and outside of the organization
communication and negotiation skills with vendors as well as with internal stakeholders
