Franke Procurement is looking for 2 Strategic Buyers to manage coffee machine specific categories such as electric and electromechanical components, coffee grinders, payment systems, heating elements, refrigeration, metal and mechanical machining parts and more, as part of the Strategic Procurement Team. This exciting role work alongside the Global Procurement Teams, Division New Product Development and Quality Teams on various sourcing projects and value engineering initiatives. Category Management
Develop medium, long-term category and sourcing strategy in collaboration with Global Procurement Teams, New Product Development (or R&D) and Operations Team to ensure best TCO and security of supply for Franke
Align category and sourcing strategy, tactics and execution plan with relevant stakeholders
Communicate category and sourcing strategy to the organization in order to support implementation
Scouting, and consolidation of suppliers (national / international)
Sourcing Execution via Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotations (RFQ)
Preparing and conducting price negotiations, supplier agreements and executing contract management
Optimization of procurement with regards to total cost of ownership, risk minimization, quality assurance, net working capital
Contribution to cost reduction through design to cost initiatives in collaboration with New Product Development (or R&D) and suppliers
Establish cooperation and support requests from New Product Development / R&D, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain Management and contribute to make or buy decisions
Supplier relationship and portfolio management
Lead negotiations on at Division level and where applicable leverage negotiation muscle from Global Procurement Teams
Active Supplier development and management (Supplier Relationship Management)
Planning and implementation of supplier audits in cooperation with Quality Management
Manage relationship with strategic suppliers
Guarantee supply availability
Continuously analyse the supply market to identify new opportunities
Align with all relevant business functions in achieving strategic company targets
Secure sharing of information and support for the local organisations and business units
Develop and participate in cross functional teams
Implements the use of framework agreements on projects as directed
Continuous improvement of value and quality
Implement, support and ensure the use of relevant strategic sourcing processes of sourcing across the Franke group
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
Communicate, co-operate and involve relevant stakeholders in order to drive the overall strategy
Support and actively promote the Procurement function
Engage and secure an open and direct dialogue with stakeholders
Improve supplier service levels and payment terms
Your skillset
Commercial or technical education including further education in related fields (Industrial Engineering / Business Administration / Supply Chain or similar)
Minimum 5-10 years of practical professional experience in category management, strategic or technical purchasing of one or more of these categories; electric and electromechanical components, coffee grinders, payment systems, heating elements, refrigeration, metal and mechanical machining parts and preferably in the context of a manufacturing or assembly company
Business Fluent in English (a must), German strong plus, every other language as well welcome
Experience in Appliances, e.g. professional kitchen appliances is a plus
Strong communication, organizational and communication skills
Experience with managing internal and external customers
ERP background – SAP preferred but not mandatory
High degree of initiative, independence, and sense of responsibility; entrepreneurial and strategic thinking mindset and Hands-on mentality and team player
