      About the role:

      We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic organization in the heart of Zurich. The role focuses on managing direct and indirect tax matters of our Group across multiple jurisdictions. You will be part of an agile Group Taxes team within the Finance & Corporate Services division and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to effectively and efficiently master tax challenges relating to our company and business.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Manage tax matters of the Group globally and in collaboration with advisors and local accountants, including tax compliance coordination, focusing on corporate income taxes, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, financial transaction taxes, and stamp duties.
      • Handle tax audits and tax litigations in Switzerland and abroad.
      • Provide regular support to the Financial Accounting & Reporting department by facilitating group tax accounting (IFRS and local), contributing to the elaboration of the group's tax notes, performing tax provision calculations, and contributing to projects on tax-related topics including process implementation.
      • Monitor and implement new tax rules.
      • Govern operational tax matters such as FATCA and CRS reporting, US 871(m) reporting, yearly tax reporting for Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) and Tracker Certificates, withholding tax repatriation restrictions, tax queries relating to structured products, and preparation of tax ruling requests for new investment structures.
      • Manage parts of the advisory and service providers network globally.

      Qualifications:

      • Diploma as Swiss Certified Tax Expert or equivalent (e.g. LLM in Swiss and International Taxation).
      • 5 - 10 years relevant experience, with a focus on Swiss tax law in the financial industry.
      • Good understanding of accounting and reporting systems.
      • Higher education in business administration, economics or law.
      • Integrative and collaborative personality with excellent stakeholder management skills.
      • Good written and verbal communication in both English and German is a must; any other language is a plus.
      • Nice to have: Tech-savvy, highly skilled in excel and data analysis.
