Zurich North America is hiring an Underwriting Account Service Manager for our Middle Markets team in San Francisco, CA!
While this position will be based out of our San Francisco office, you will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis. You will partner with your manager to set a flexible work schedule that supports you, our customers, and our brokers and agents. This role may require you to be visible in the marketplace to meet with our agents and brokers and be in the office/market three days per week

As a member of Zurich’s leadership team, you will have the opportunity to lead, motivate and develop the Underwriting Account Servicing team to develop and deliver customer-specific, value-added services for existing and new Middle Market accounts
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Managing all operational activities associated with high volume, mid-size to large accounts
Managing a team of 8-10 Underwriting Associates, end to end and as the point of contact for customers and underwriting leadership
Ensuring teams meeting key operational performance goals
Regular performance evaluations
Managing the workflow and distribution of work amongst team members
Performing customer service and account management responsibilities, as needed, which may include resolving issues related to billing, making changes to policies and answering policy coverage related questions
Participating in key account business relationships in person or teleconference with Underwriters
Providing oversight and leading key check point processes for teams
Coordinating relevant agenda, communications, and discussion points for regional meetings and trainings
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate’s Degree and 4 or more years’ experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area, AND
Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance certifications
People management experience
Experience working in a production and metrics performance environment
Knowledge of operational budgets
Knowledge of international insurance programs

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $96,600.00 - $158,300.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%
