This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced underwriting professionals, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact our customers and communities

The Role:

• As an Underwriting Intern at Zurich, you will be an integral part of our Underwriting organization. Under the guidance of experienced underwriting professionals and mentors, you will contribute to real projects and tasks that support business growth, customer relationships, and risk management strategies
• Depending on the specific internship placement, this position will allow you to:
• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry
• Hands-on experience working on impactful projects
• Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals
• Opportunities to participate in community impact projects
• Networking activities with professionals and fellow interns
• Exposure to insurance industry leaders and underwriting professionals
• Insights into the operations of a global industry leader in commercial insurance

Basic Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and will be enrolled in the Fall of 2027
• Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Cumulative GPA at/above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Problem solving skills in customer focused environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Experience in leadership roles, campus organizations, or extracurricular activities
• Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases.
