Web Developer / Digital Content Manager (50-60%) Starting 1.2.2026 or as per agreement The Biozentrum of the University of Basel is one of the leading life sciences institutes in the world. It consists of 32 groups and 500 employees that research how molecules and cells create life, spanning the scale from atom to organism. Founded in 1971, the Biozentrum has been the birthplace of many fundamental discoveries in biology and medicine, spawning several Nobel Laureates.
To complement our teams, we are looking for an enthusiastic and goal-oriented person with a degree in computer science or a comparable background and relevant work experience in application development, ideally in a research environment. You have practical experience in developing and maintaining web applications and are comfortable with a mix of frontend and backend technologies like HTML/CSS/JS, PHP- and Python based frameworks and the respective tooling. You also are experienced in managing and presenting digital content to optimize the visitor’s experience. Furthermore, you embrace a service-oriented approach and take pride in helping others and ensuring a reliable web infrastructure. Good communication skills in English are required, knowledge of German is an asset.
