Responsibilities

Foresight & Technology Scouting

• Lead foresight processes (e.g., scenarios, technology radars, horizon scanning)

• Identify and assess disruptive technologies with long-term business impact

• Translate foresight insights into actionable recommendations for Horizon 3 portfolio and incubation pipeline

Incubator & Accelerator Management

• Design and implement global incubator and accelerator activities

• Drive start-up scouting, evaluation, and partnership program development

• Ensure incubator projects align with foresight insights and strategic priorities

Portfolio & Governance

• Lead Horizon 3 portfolio evaluation, prioritization, and governance support

• Report on KPIs, project progress, and portfolio impact across foresight and incubation

• Lead complex project teams, demonstrating strong project management skills and leadership

Innovation & Change

• Develop and implement foresight and incubation methodologies as repeatable processes

• Facilitate ideation, early opportunity evaluation, and proof-of-concept projects

People & Leadership

• Demonstrate strategic thinking and entrepreneurial leadership of others, during implementation phase

• Coach and mentor colleagues in foresight and incubation practices

• Build and sustain global networks with start-ups, incubators, venture ecosystems, universities, foresight institutes, and think tanks.

• Influence Omya senior Leadership in long-term strategic decision making process

Communication

• Deliver compelling presentations that explain foresight insights, innovation opportunities, and incubation results to relevant stakeholders

• Represent Omya in external start-up, foresight, and innovation ecosystems

Qualifications:

• Master’s in science, engineering, or business; MBA is a plus

• 12+ years relevant experience in foresight, innovation, or start-up ecosystems

• Proven expertise in scenario planning, technology radars, and/or incubator/accelerator programs

• Well-developed foresight, entrepreneurial, and analytical capabilities

• Exceptional business acumen and project leadership experience

• Competent communicator and able to interact effectively and sensitively with individuals from a range of backgrounds and levels, including external stakeholders

• Team player that understands the needs of peers and, in particular, senior management and acts to support accordingly

• Good command of English, additional languages are a plus

• Occasional domestic and international travel on a need basis

• Proficiency in office and project management software (e.g. Microsoft Office 365)
